MAKE THE POCKET

Load the 5 Rose design into your machine.

Hoop a 6”x9” hoop with Badgemaster or similar clear wash-away stabilizer.

Thread the machine with the thread color you plan to use for the leaves trim stitch and detail stitching. Use a thread color to compliment and/or contrast with the leaves fabric.

1.  Embroider the pocket placement line.

Place the prepared pocket piece with the fold at the top and the pressed under edges at the bottom. The side and bottom edges should be matching the placement line exactly.

Tape the bottom and lower sides in place with masking tape or spray the back of the pocket with embroidery spray adhesive before placing, or do both.

2. Using the same color thread, embroider the pocket trim line.

Remove the hoop from the machine.

Trim away fabric above the trim line using sharp, curved scissors to get as close to the stitching as possible, but being careful not to cut into the wash-away stabilizer in the hoop.

Return the hoop to the machine.

3.  Using the same color thread, embroider the Leaves fabric placement line.

Spray the back of the prepared Leaves fabric with spray adhesive and place it so the placement line is completely covered.
