Remove hoop from machine and trim back contrast fabric close to stitching. Remove stabilizer from hoop. Trim pieces about 1/4" from edges being careful not to snip satin cover stitching. In this hooping you will construct the scissors carrier. Hold the point down with your finger until the first couple of inches stitch to help secure the piece. Let dry. Use your finger to spread it over the
bottom point area to protect the fabric against being torn by scissors
points. Remove the adhesive protective paper from
the hook piece of the Velcro and place inside the carrier, in the center
scallop on either the front or back of the carrier. Join the loop piece to the hook and remove
the adhesive protective paper from the back of the loop piece. Press the top and bottom together at the
scallop so the hook and loop Velcro®
pieces are positioned correctly and ready to be ironed. From the outside of the carrier, iron each side of the carrier
top scallop for a few seconds to set the adhesive on the Velcro® and get a permanent hold. Shown is how the Velcro® should look
when finished. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
